ioHUB for streamlined maintenance management
The Problem
Most companies with asset intensive operations understand the operational and safety requirement for routine maintenance.
Many have large corporate ERP systems that enable maintenance activities to be scheduled in advance. In many cases, that’s where the sophistication ends. Maintenance crews are sent out with paper listings or Excel spreadsheets detailing the tasks they need to perform.
These existing systems are prone to error and bottlenecks. Neither outcome is acceptable when it comes to expensive equipment and the safety of personnel.
The Solution
ioGlobal has devised a flexible solution using ioHUB that is rapidly deployable, scalable, and requires no software to be installed.
ioHUB is a secure hosted service that users access via a Web browser. Typically, a supervisor will log in, view the scheduled task list, and assign an operator to complete the task. Each task is transmitted over the Internet directly to the operator’s Pocket PC (this could be via the cellular network to the operator while in the field or a wireless or USB connection in the office).
Operators are presented with simple and intuitive forms that direct them to the equipment location and guide them through the maintenance task. Each completed task is despatched electronically to ioHUB, where supervisors and managers can view dashboard reports and track the progress of the maintenance campaign.
Automated workflows enable the information in the ioHUB database to be synchronised with corporate systems.
